About Vineyard Finneytown

This church plant was publicly announced on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the sending church, Vineyard Northwest. On Sunday, January 24, 2021, Sarah shared her vision for the church plant with the sending congregation. There was a series of Interest Meetings in February. From there, Vineyard Finneytown began to host small gatherings both in person and virtually. These included intercessory prayer gatherings for our community, worship nights, bible studies, and more. In June, we hosted our first of three monthly Preview Services.

On September 12, 2021 we officially launched as a new church!

About Sarah

Sarah Anderson, the church planter/senior pastor of Vineyard Finneytown, is a third-generation resident of Finneytown, Ohio—a small community in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her grandparents (Alex and Boots Steel) moved to the up and coming area in 1954. Born and raised in the community, she and her husband Grant (a transplant to the area) bought their first home in Finneytown in 2005. Their three children are now fourth-generation residents of Finneytown. In 2015, Sarah attended the School of Kingdom Ministry at her home church, Vineyard Northwest. She began to learn to recognize God’s voice and to move in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. She received a prophetic word in December of that year that she was “strapped to the front of a speeding train, and it’s scary, but it’s ok because God put you there.” That word very quickly began to play out in Sarah’s life. She was asked to join the Pastoral Advisory Council at the church, wrote a devotional for the church, and then joined the staff within the year. As the Children’s Ministry Director, she quickly learned that ministry was the call that God had on her life. She began to preach, started to attend seminary, became a licensed pastor, and a dream began to build in her heart to plant a church.
